The Windsor & Hantsport Railway (WHRC)

Overview

The Windsor and Hantsport Railway (WHRC), owned by the Iron Roads Railways, started operations in August 1994. It runs for 56 miles from Windsor Junction, where it interchanges with CN, to Kentville, Nova Scotia. Its primary commodities are gypsum, rock, grain, vegetable oil and lumber. It also is widely known for its seasonal tourist excursion train, the Evangeline Express.
